Brigham Young University-Idaho is reporting an on-campus winter enrollment increase.

Overall enrollment is down slightly, however, due to a dropoff in online students.

The private university, owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, reported 23,662 students on its Rexburg campus. That represents a 6.3% increase from the previous year.

Other enrollment breakdowns, according to a recent BYU-Idaho news release:

  • 18,725 students are enrolled in face-to-face courses on campus, a 6.5% increase.
  • 4,937 on-campus students are enrolled in online courses and/or internships, a 5.6% increase.
  • 17,515 online students served, in partnership with BYU-Pathway Worldwide, a 9.3% decrease.
  • Overall enrollment came in at 41,176, a 0.9% decrease.
