Day 28: Speaking to student-athletes

State superintendent Debbie Critchfield kicked off her Monday with another weekly meeting with education stakeholders, before heading to a dyslexia workgroup discussion. She also met with TJ Bliss, Chief Academic Officer for the Office of the State Board of Education, Monday morning.

She spent the afternoon preparing to present before the House and Senate education committees on Wednesday, when she’ll spell out her top priorities for career-technical education across the state.

The superintendent will finish up her Monday at Boise State University’s BroncoLife Connect event, where she’ll give a welcome message to around 100 student-athletes and 100 local business leaders.

BroncoLife is a university program targeted toward supporting student-athletes on and off campus, and preparing them for life after sports. Monday evening’s event was organized to connect BSU athletes to local businesses, and help them explore career paths and expand their professional networks.
