Another member of Marlene Tromp’s inner circle is following the former Boise State University president to Vermont.

Lauren Griswold, Boise State’s chief communications and marketing officer, will take a similar position at the University of Vermont.

“Lauren’s accomplishments as an integral member of my leadership team at two previous institutions give me great confidence that adding her experience to the strong existing team in Strategic Communications will position the division and the university for great success,” Tromp said in a Monday letter to Vermont’s campus community.

Griswold had worked at Boise State since 2019.

Griswold is the second Boise State administrator to leave for Vermont, where Tromp was hired as president this spring. In late July, Alicia Estey, Boise State’s chief financial and operating officer, joined Vermont’s staff as chief financial officer and vice president for finance.

Griswold is also the latest of several high-ranking Boise State officials to leave the university since Tromp’s departure.
