The McCall-Donnelly School District has a new but familiar school superintendent.

Jim Foudy has been named superintendent, the McCall Star-News reported last week. Foudy was selected from a field of seven applicants, and was the only in-house candidate for the job, the Star-News reported.

Foudy, principal at McCall’s Barbara R. Morgan Elementary School, was named interim superintendent in December. Foudy replaced Glen Szymoniak, who left the district under unexplained circumstances. Szymoniak did not talk about his departure, but he received a $165,000 settlement with the district, the Star-News reported at the time.

Foudy has been a principal and administrator in McCall-Donnnelly since 2003. Previously, he had been an elementary school teacher and administrator in the Boise School District, and was a founding member of the Anser Charter School in Garden City.
