Reporters break down Idaho School Benefit Trust in new ‘EdNews Show’ episode

Insurance is complicated.

In the latest episode of The EdNews Show, reporters Kevin Richert and Sean Dolan explain the unraveling of the Idaho School Benefit Trust, what it means for teachers and how it might impact taxpayers.

The trust’s manager on Thursday informed member school districts that they are responsible for covering a $13 million shortfall. School leaders have to pick a payment option by Sept. 10 and make a first payment by Sept. 30.
