Justices set new standards in Idaho Supreme Court decision

This week’s decision made two clear distinctions that will affect journalists and teachers who find themselves in court.

Enrollment grew by more than 5,000 students with 40 percent going to charters; meanwhile, the Boise School District lost hundreds of students.

“I feel like I’m on a totally different planet,” Principal Fernanda Brendefur said of the new 68,000-square-foot facility. “It’s just wonderful.”

A female employee told police that principal Mike Fitch sexually harassed and propositioned her for sex, on school property.

Principal Paul Harman hopes it will translate into better learning outcomes for his students.

The night was a chance to model how a school, a community partner and families could come together to foster student growth.
