State Superintendent Debbie Critchfield took a sick day today, working from home in Oakley to recuperate from an illness (she reported having laryngitis earlier this week). But that didn’t mean she stopped working.

Critchfield sat in on a virtual meeting to prepare for next week’s Land Board meeting, and has been on the phone with several members of her executive team.

Hopefully the rest gives her a chance to recover, because she’s got a packed schedule and two trips planned over the coming days.

Tomorrow, she heads to Gooding for Gov. Little’s Capital for a Day event. And Saturday, she’ll fly to Washington, D.C., for the annual Council of Chief State School Officers conference. She’ll be there until Tuesday night.
