The North Idaho College Board of Trustees has new leadership.

Trustees unanimously voted Wednesday evening to select current vice-chair, Tarie Zimmerman, as the new board chair. Mary Havercroft was unanimously voted in as the new vice-chair.
Havercroft is a retired teacher and principal who spent the majority of her career in the Lakeland Joint School District in Rathdrum.

Zimmerman is a financial advisor who has lived in Coeur d’Alene since 2012. She replaces Brad Corkill as chair. The pair were both elected in November 2022.
The college also received a clean audit for the 2025 year.
Barry Weber, an audit partner with Eide Bailly, told the trustees that there were very few adjustments in the governance letter presented to the trustees Wednesday.
“What that tells us is the financials that you’ve been looking at during the year, that you’ve been making decisions off of, were materially accurate,” Weber told the board.
Trustees also reviewed aspects of the college’s strategic plan and heard updates on the accreditation proceedings following the Northwest Commission on Community Colleges and Universities’ visit last month.
