
The University of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College are touting spring enrollment increases.
U of I. Overall enrollment increased for the eighth successive semester. The U of I reported 11,886 students, up 4.2% from spring 2024.

- Undergraduate enrollment is 7,123, a 4.6% increase.
- In-state undergraduate enrollment is up 5.1%.
- Out-of-state undergraduate enrollment is up 12%.
- International undergraduate enrollment is up 23.4%.
LC State. Spring enrollment hit 3,100, the college’s highest spring mark in six years. This also marks an 11.2% increase from last spring.

- In-state enrollment is up 11.7%.
- Out-of-state enrollment is up 10.5%.
- Transfers and first-time students are both up by 18%.
- High-growth programs are business and computer science (up 19.3%), nursing and health sciences (up 17.5%), and technical and industrial (up 12.4%).
“Small rural colleges across the nation are facing sharp enrollment declines, but not here,” LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said in a news release. “LC State is no longer a hidden gem – but truly an Idaho gem!”
