A familiar face in Idaho political circles wants his House seat back.
Former Rep. Chad Christensen announced Tuesday he’s running for representative of District 35 House Seat A, held now by Soda Springs Republican Rep. Michael Veile. Gov. Brad Little last year appointed Veile to the House seat vacated by Kevin Andrus.
Christensen served in the House from 2018 to 2022 and pushed unsuccessfully for legislation to relax requirements for school employees to carry firearms on campus.

Christensen’s website lists parental rights and education freedom among his top issues.
Idaho Sunshine reports show Christensen with an early fundraising advantage: $15,230 to Veile’s $4,750.
Christensen withdrew from a District 35 House race in 2024 but told a local reporter he would run in 2026.
