The Boise School District hopes to fill a trustee vacancy by early October.
This week, the district spelled out a schedule to replace Maria Greeley. The 13-year trustee formally resigned Monday evening; Greeley is moving to Singapore, where her husband has taken a multiyear work assignment.
The school district will accept applications through noon on Sept. 26. An application form and other information is available on the district’s website.
Trustees plan to meet on Oct. 2 to consider applicants, and consider making an immediate appointment. Trustees plan to meet again on Oct. 8 to interview finalists and select a trustee.
The district expects to swear in the new trustee on Oct. 13.
The new trustee will be appointed to a one-year term, running until Boise’s September 2026 board election.
