Superintendent Ybarra’s schedule: Jan. 28-Feb. 1

State superintendent Sherri Ybarra has never had a legislative hearing for her controversial Keep Idaho Students Safe security proposal.

That changes, to an extent, on Monday.

The House Education Committee will hear from Ybarra as she discusses her budget priorities, including school safety.

Here’s Ybarra’s weekly schedule, released Monday morning. (Thursday’s schedule incorrectly lists a budget presentation before the Legislature. This presentation occurred last week, and has been deleted here):

Superintendent of Public Instruction Sherri Ybarra is the state’s advocate for school children and articulates her goals for public education in Idaho in terms of outcomes for students.  The State Department of Education provides the necessary support for schools and students to achieve.

2. All education stakeholders in Idaho are mutually responsible for accountability and student progress.
