Boise State University is launching the search to fill one of its high-level vacancies.
On Friday, the university announced a national search for a new chief financial officer. “Sustaining Boise State’s incredible momentum requires a financial leader who can help us harness new opportunities while strengthening the university’s foundation,” Interim President Jeremiah Shinn said in an email to the campus community.
The search could bring finalists to campus for site visits next spring. In the meantime, Stacy Pearson will continue in the CFO role on an interim basis.
The CFO job is just one of several top administrative openings at Boise State, in addition to the president’s job. Boise State also is looking for a chief information officer and a provost, among other vacancies. Shinn has said Boise State will focus first on filling the CFO and information officer’s jobs, allowing the next president to pick a provost.
The new CFO will succeed Alicia Estey, who left in June to take a similar post at the University of Vermont — and follow former Boise State president Marlene Tromp, who was named Vermont’s president in the spring.
