Boise School District trustees have a special meeting at 4 p.m. on Thursday to discuss pandemic operations plans.

Arnold, like many other teachers in Idaho, has made adjustments to her teaching practices and environment since the pandemic began.  

In other news, holiday contest deadlines are fast approaching and waivers for free student meals have been extended through the school year.

The State Department of Education also said it did not know when it will pay teachers who earned the premiums last year.

Only 27 earned “unsatisfactory” scores of almost 20,000 evaluations.

The coach was suspended until Oct. 19, and will be required to apologize to his classes and attend sensitivity training.

“After [students] know that I care for them individually, that I know them not just by name, then they will learn,” Jorge Pulleiro said.

The state was waiting on student data from last school year to decide who gets master educator premiums.
