Boise High graduate receives $1,000 scholarship
Nathan Marshall, a 2016 Boise High School graduate, was one of four students nationwide awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the National Ocean Sciences Bowl. 
Nathan competed with the Boise High School National Ocean Sciences Bowl team, helping them secure regional victories in 2014, 2015, and 2016 at the Salmon Bowl and national titles in 2014 and 2015. Marshall is A freshman at Stanford University.
Education child nutrition programs awarded USDA grant
The Idaho State Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) was awarded the 2016 Team Nutrition Grant by the United States Department of Agriculture. With this award, CNP will create and provide online and in-person technical assistance related to the Child and Adult Care Food Program. For more information about the grant, click here.
Dairy Council gives $231,000 to schools
The Idaho Dairy Council is giving 41 Idaho schools grants to support their Fuel Up to Play 60 initiatives this fall. The schools were selected from among hundreds
across the country that applied for funding to help them jumpstart and sustain healthy nutrition and physical activity improvements.
