A top administrator in the Coeur d’Alene School District is no longer working for the district, and no one is saying much about the details.
Chief Operating Officer Wendell Wardell is out from his $108,173.70-a-year post, the Coeur d’Alene Press reported Saturday. Superintendent Matt Handelman informed employees of the news Friday, but did not say whether Wardell left of his own accord.
“As with any matter involving personnel, the district will afford Wendell the same level of privacy we would give to any other staff member going through a separation of employment,” Handelman wrote in an email. “We will be working on posting for the position in the near future.”
The Press said the School Board endorsed several employee moves during a meeting Thursday. Trustees unanimously accepted several resignations — and the termination of an office employee identified in meeting minutes only as “Employee A.”
