There is only one item on state superintendent Sherri Ybarra’s schedule for this week, according to her website.

She will attend an Education Northwest board meeting in Portland, Ore., Monday and Tuesday, spokeswoman Kris Rodine said Monday.

If she is back in time, Ybarra hopes to attend part of the House Education Committee’s informational sessions at the Statehouse Wednesday, Rodine said.

Based in Portland, with a satellite office in Boise, Education Northwest describes its mission as follows: “We provide high-quality research, technical assistance, professional development, and evaluation services that address the most pressing education and youth-services needs in our region and across the country.”

Ybarra has no events or meetings on her schedule for Wednesday through Friday.
