The Blaine County School District is looking to hire a new finance manager — and trustees will have to fill a vacancy on the school board.
On Wednesday, trustee Carole Freund submitted her letter of resignation, citing health concerns. (More on her resignation from the Idaho Mountain Express.)
Meanwhile, the long search for a finance manager continues, four months after Business Manager Mike Chatterton announced his retirement.
“The vacancy was posted both locally and nationally, however the position remains unfilled,” the district said in a news release last week. “Therefore the national search firm Ray and Associates has been retained to help in the search for a finance manager.”
Chatterton will retire June 30. Accounting Manager Val Seamons will serve as interim finance manager starting July 1, pending board approval.
