House Republicans plan Meridian town hall

House Republicans will hold a town hall meeting Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Meridian.

It’s the second time lawmakers have hit the road for a town hall this summer. At a July meeting in Twin Falls, campus diversity and inclusion programs emerged as one of the talking points.

Tuesday’s town hall will begin at 6 p.m. at the Center At The Park at Kleiner Park, 1920 N. Records Way. Lawmakers will take written questions at the meeting, and they will take questions in advance sent to [email protected].

Several legislators are slated to attend: Speaker Scott Bedke, Oakley; Majority Leader Mike Moyle, Star; Assistant Majority Leader Jason Monks, Nampa; Caucus Chairwoman Megan Blanksma, Hammett; Reps. Joe Palmer, James Holtzclaw and Steven Harris, Meridian; Rep. John Vander Woude, Nampa; and Rep. Megan Kiska, Boise.
