Former Nampa teacher charged with sexual abuse

A former Nampa teacher was arrested this week on sexual abuse charges, and police are seeking information on other possible victims.

Keith Odell Peterson

Keith Odell Peterson, 70, is charged with lewd conduct with a minor child under the age of 16 and sexual battery of a minor, the Idaho Statesman reported.

Police say the victim was a juvenile male and an acquaintance, not one of Peterson’s former students. But because Peterson is a former teacher, police are seeking information about other possible victims. (If you have any information, call the Nampa Police Department at 208-465-2257.)

Peterson taught Spanish in Nampa’s West Junior High School, South Junior High School and Nampa High School from 1977 through 1991, district spokeswoman Kathleen Tuck told the Statesman.
