Boise School Board faces another vacancy

Less than a week after a round of trustee elections, the Boise School Board is facing another vacancy.

Doug Park, a member of the board for five years, is stepping down in the middle of his term. During Monday night’s meeting, trustees are likely to accept Park’s resignation, and discuss the “trustee appointment process.”

That discussion should occur shortly after the district swears in Alicia Estey, Maria Greeley and Troy Rohn to six-year trustee terms. Greeley and Rohn were re-elected Tuesday; Estey was easily elected to the board, and will take a spot left by 21-year trustee A J Balukoff.

The former owner of a change management and executive coaching consulting firm, Park was appointed to the board in 2013, and was elected to a six-year term in 2014.
