Another way to look at Tuesday’s school bond issues

In McKinney, Texas — about 40 miles north of Dallas — voters on May 7 said yes to a $220 million bond issue.

One big-ticket item: $62.8 million would go toward a 12,000-seat high school football stadium and events center. This could be the most expensive high school stadium in the nation, according to USA Today.

To put the $62.8 million into perspective, voters in five Idaho school districts will vote on bond issues Tuesday. The total price: $57.2 million.
