Episode 197: The House rolls the dice on a standards overhaul

It was a historic week in the House Education Committee.

The committee voted to repeal all academic standards in English language arts, math and science, including English and math standards aligned to Common Core. And for good measure, the committee also repealed certification requirements for new teachers.

In this week’s “Extra Credit,” Clark Corbin and Kevin Richert walk through the tumultuous events in House Education — and talk about what’s at stake when the Senate gets involved in the debate.

Come back next week for another episode of “Extra Credit.”
