Ep. 20: A science teacher’s dream PD — an expedition to Patagonia

On this episode, Misha Smith, a sixth grade teacher at Boise’s Hawthorne Elementary, tells us about a science teacher’s professional development dream: going on an expedition to Patagonia.

Smith saw elephant seals and Andean condors, and explored glaciers and national parks. Everything she learned, she’s bringing right back to the classroom to benefit Idaho students.

She got to go on the trip after being selected as a 2023 Grosvenor Teacher Fellow through National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions. Tune in to hear more about her once-in-a-lifetime trip.
