Hansen hires new superintendent

The Hansen School District has a new superintendent.

Parma High School Principal David Carson will take the helm of the Magic Valley school district on July 1, Julie Wootton-Greener of the Twin Falls Times-News reported Tuesday.

Carson will take over for Kristin Beck, who had doubled as the district’s federal programs director.

Beck is leaving to pursue other interests, the Times-News reported.

“We’re parting on very good terms,” board chairman Dave Bjorneborg told Wootton-Greener. “We did not want her to leave, but it was the right moment, probably, for her to look for some other things.”
