Hunting for some political news?

The last we heard from longtime Boise School Board trustee (and possible gubernatorial candidate) A J Balukoff, he was headed to Canada for an extended goose hunting trip.

After his hunt, he told the Idaho Statesman’s Dan Popkey, he would be ready to discuss his political plans.

I’m not sure how the hunt went, but Balukoff is not yet ready to talk about whether he will run for governor on the Democratic Party ticket.

“I am not ready to make an announcement yet,” Balukoff said in an email to Idaho Education News Thursday night. “I should have a decision in the next two to three weeks.”

For those in the business of chasing political rumors, so goes the, ahem, wild goose chase.
