A creative staff selfie taken in the hallway right before students arrived for open house night at Middleton’s Mill Creek Elementary won the staff $100 from the Idaho EdNews photo contest.
Michelle Matthews, a Middleton School District employee, submitted the photo on behalf of the school staff. The photo was a hit on the EdNews Facebook page — 253 followers voted her photo as their favorite of the 726 votes cast.
“I didn’t tell the staff I submitted the photo until I became a finalist,” she said. “Everyone is very excited.”
The money will be spent on school supplies.
