Episode 211: Bracing for a $99 Million Cut to the Education Budget

Welcome to episode 211 of the Extra Credit podcast.

This week we break down the new budget guidance from Gov. Brad Little that offers a blueprint for cutting next year’s school budget by 5 percent, or about $99 million.

We’ll look at cuts to technology and freezing teachers on the career ladder salary system.

We will be off next week in anticipation of Memorial Day weekend.

Check back in two weeks, on May 29, for another new episode of Extra Credit.
