A Friday roundup: catching up, all under one roof

A few quick hits for a Friday:

Broadband. The state’s Legislative Council is meeting at the Statehouse today, and hearing updates from the summer “interim committees.” The committee looking at broadband issues will have legislation ready for the 2016 session that begins in January. Betsy Z. Russell of the Spokane Spokesman-Review has the full story.

The broadband committee will next meet on Nov. 20.

West Ada. Linda Clark has stepped down as superintendent, and despite the recent rancor, a $28 million supplemental levy passed Tuesday. Nonetheless, a recall drive against four of West Ada’s five trustees continues. The story from Bill Roberts of the Idaho Statesman.

And speaking of elections … In this week’s “Making the Grade” segment, I sit down with Michelle Edmonds of KIVI and KNIN to break down Tuesday night’s levy elections, and the shakeup in Caldwell.
