Facebook flap: State will not pursue case

Pocatello High School teacher and girls basketball coach Laraine Cook will be allowed to keep her teaching certificate.

Attorney General Lawrence Wasden’s office says the state Professional Standards Commission has looked into the complaint against Cook, and found insufficient basis for disciplinary action, the Idaho State Journal reported Wednesday.

Cook was fired in October, after district officials learned of a photo she had posted on her Facebook page. The photo showed Cook’s fiancé, Pocatello football coach Tom Harrison, touching Cook’s clothed breast. Harrison was reprimanded.
