Comment Policy
We want this site to be a place where people can debate issues vigorously and remain respectful. The debate should be lively, and even pointed at times, but always civil.
Our guidelines:
- No personal attacks. It is possible to disagree with another person without attacking him or her personally.
- Address the issue. Rants or rambles off topic are not appreciated.
- No pseudonyms. We ask that you stand by your comment with your full name, just like in a newspaper’s Letters to the Editor section.
- In general, comments should be relatively short. If you’d like to discuss a topic at length, you may be a candidate for a post in our opinion section called Voices. Contact editor Jennifer Swindell at jswindell@idahoednews.org if you’d like to be considered for a guest columnist spot.
